The focus on college completion continues to gain steam nationally. This week, West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin III, the new chair of the National Governors Association, announced an initiative to increase the number of students in the U.S. who complete college degrees and certificates and to improve the productivity of the country's higher education institutions.
Complete to Compete aims to create a set of common higher education completion and productivity measures that governors and higher education leaders can use to monitor state progress and compare performance to other states and among institutions.
